WHAT WE HAVE BEEN LEARNING

KINDERGARTEN:
We have been learning about "A Kid's Guide to Personal Behavior"
Tattling, Disobeying, Fibbing. We have defined the behaviors, talked about why kids behave in those ways and what happens when kids behave in those ways. We have talked about when it is appropriate or OK to disobey: i.e. when a stranger or anyone asks you to do something that you know is not right or when anyone touches you inappropriately or in your private areas.


FIRST GRADE:
We learned the playground safety rules and why we have rules and how to be a good sport about following the rules.
We are now learning about personal behaviors: Rudeness, Whining, and Bickering and how people feel about children who behave in those ways.

SECOND GRADE:
We learned all of the Playground Safety rules for Runyon and we learned how to be responsible for our own safety on the playground. We learned about Responsibility at home and at school and how is important to be a responsible person.
We are now learning about How to Get Along With Your Classmates: Who's Really Cool, Cooperation and Compromise, Teasing and Name-Calling, Settling Differences

THIRD GRADE:
We reviewed all of the Playground Safety rules and proceedures. We learned how to be responsible for our own safety on the playground. We learned about being a Good School Citizen and about Responsibilites at school. We are now learning about 25 Of the Best Ways to Make and Keep Friends.

FOURTH GRADE:
We reviewed all of the Playground Safety rules and proceedures. We have gone over and discussed all of the rules in the Student Code of Conduct. We will be learning about Feeling Good About Me and Being the Best You Can Be.

FIFTH GRADE:
We reviewed all of the Playgound Safety rules and proceedures. We have discussed all of the rules and consequences in the Student Code of Conduct. We will be working on Goal Setting, Setting Priorities, Achieving Your Goals.
